St Paul Hamstead

Tea Dance

We hold a bi-monthly, (January, March, May, July, September and November) Tea Dance at the Community Centre, usually on the third Saturday. It starts at 2.00 and finishes at 5.00 and we have an interval during the afternoon, where everybody is served to tea, in china cups and saucers, and home-made cakes.

Nobody is pressurised into dancing, it is alright if you just want to sit and have a chat with friends. All types of music for dancing is played, waltz, quickstep, foxtrot, cha-cha-cha, rumba, sequence dances and line dancing, so, hopefully, everyone who wants to dance is accommodated. Even the Vicar has a go!!!

The people who run the kitchen and play the music are all volunteers and give generously of their time. All proceeds from the afternoon go towards the fundraising at St Paul’s Church.

What proceeds? you ask. We do charge an entry price of £5.00 per person.

Why not come along and give it a try, keep your eyes on the diary for the next dance.
