MAD: Make a Difference - we meet approximately every two months on a Wednesday evening in Church. Topics for meetings are advertised in This Weeks News under the Home Page. All welcome

We meet one evening every two months in the church.
Through MAD we learn more about the issues eg. debt, HIV/AIDS, unfair international trade.
- organise and get involved in campaigning for a more just world eg. Trade Justice Campaign and Jubilee Debt Campaign
- organise fund raising events - eg. for Christian Aid

In 2005 we supported the Make Poverty History coalition which aims to persuade the rich and powerful developed countries to: make trade fair for developing countries; cancel their unpayable debts and increase and better target aid to poor countries.

The meetings are very informal and typically we have some discussion, watch videos and plan campaigns such as letter writing and lobbying local MPs. What campaigning people get involved in is up to them - if people prefer it's fine just to come along and learn about the issues. There is no formal membership and we always welcome new people.

If you want to know more phone the Vicar Tel: 0121 357 8941

We don't pretend that we can change the world on our own, but we choose to do something rather than stand by and do nothing.

Come and join us - together we can make a difference!
