Weddings
A wedding is one of life’s great moments, a time of solemn commitment as well as good wishes, feasting and joy. St John’s Gospel tells us how Jesus shared in such an occasion at Cana, and gave there a sign of new beginnings as he turned water into wine. John 2:1-11
Why not have a traditional Christian wedding in a church with music, readings and bells?
St Paul’s is a traditional building with a welcoming atmosphere.
There is space for 250 guests - whether or not the beautiful lawn for photographs will be available will be confirmed to you nearer the date of your wedding.
We offer
• plenty of support as you plan your wedding
• a musical evening to help you choose hymns and music for your special day.
• a preparation morning to give you a chance to step out of the busyness of preparing
for the big day and share with each other some of the important issues about marriage.
• and most important of all, the Church gives you God’s blessing on your marriage.
A wedding may take place on almost any day of the year.
To qualify to get married at St Paul’s one of you has to either:
• live in the parish: check 'A Church Near You', or see parish map
• have attended church regularly for at least six months in order to qualify to be on the electoral roll.
The first step in booking the wedding is to call or email to make an appointment.
